Last night some friends and I went out for dinner at a Korean restaurant. Dinner started with these little dishes and these were re-filled during our meal. One of these dishes was lotus root – which you can see in the dish with slices of round roots. I really enjoyed the lotus root. It doesn’t have much of a taste but it has a hard, crunchy texture which I enjoyed. The other dish is full of mini sardines that are deep fried and covered in a spicy hot sauce.
I have admit that we didn’t need any refills on this dish as we all sampled one little sardine and then on one was willing to finish the rest. Some of the other dishes included eggs, bean sprouts, some green veggie, something like a potato salad, egg plant, pickles, spam, chick peas and Kiamichi. We also ordered some beef ribs that we were able to BBQ at our table. It was a wonderful meal with good company! I look forward to going back to this restaurant again.
