Back to the Jungle

 DEC 09, 2019

New guests arrived to the lodge and I decided to join them for another jungle walk. This time we walked into a different area of the park. We crossed the river and found a spot to sit. We spent about 2 hours sitting by the river hoping a tiger would pick this location to cross. We didn’t see a tiger cross the river but our guide spotted the tiger walking in the bush behind us.

This was a very exciting moment as the tiger was less than 30m away from us. I wasn’t able to take a photo as it all happened so fast. I did get a chance to see the tiger and watch it’s ears wiggle as it listened to us. Then it slowly walked away from us and disappeared into the jungle.

We spotted several trees with scratch marks from the Tiger. Some of these were older marks that had been there for a while. We also spotted both tiger and rhino tracks.
