Return to Canada

 MARCH 25, 2020

With the Covid pandemic expanding across the globe the Canadian government asked all Canadians abroad to return home.

The boarders of many countries were about to shut down. So I decided that I best return home to Saskatchewan. It was a long journey home. I arrived home and I had to stay a few nights in a local motel before I could make arrangements for a place to stay. I needed to complete a 14 day quarantine.

It was a strange time to be back home but unable to see my parents. We had to talk on video chats or on the phone. Also during this time my mom got very sick and had to go to the hospital by ambulance as she got a lung infection. It was a stressful time. My mom ended up spending 20 days in the hospital. She did not have covid but she was very ill.

I finally got out of my quarantine and I was able to get home. It was a shock to be back in winter and -15c temps after hanging out in Asia and Australia.
