Diving in Saipan

Oct 4, 2019

We joined Green Flash Diving and went to explore Saipan underwater. We spent 2 days diving around the island. We saw sharks, eagle rays, octopus, turtles and many different fish.

We also saw a US plane that was shot down during the war. The plane is starting to fall apart but we could still see the wings and the propellers. Our next dive was to swim around the wreck of a Japanese boat that was sank during the war.

There is an amazing amount of sea life living on or around these wrecks. The coral is growing and taking over the wrecks. The bottom of the ocean floor is littered with ammunition. We were able to pick up long lines of bullets rusting away in the sea.

These photos belong to Syd from the FISHGUYZ dive shop. He shared his photos with us. His dive shop is at the Kanoa Resort in Saipan and I would highly recommend diving with him.
