Lost Coin

I saw a coin on the ground the other day and I bent over to pick it up as I thought to myself "Yes, free money!" However, my students stopped me and they told me not to pick it up. They told me that is bad luck to pick up a coin off the street. They said that the coin wasn't mine so I shouldn't take it. They explained the spirit of the person who the coin belongs to could come with the coin so if I pick it up and there is a bad spirit it will travel with me & the coin. So now I often think twice when I see money on the ground but I still can't help myself from picking it up. It's free money!
