To Bug Or Not Bug

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

At run club yesterday I saw these bugs all over the trees. I stopped to take a photo of them and I was having a hard time to get my camera to focus - as you can see. One of the students stopped and asked why I was taking a photo. I explained that I thought it was a good looking bug. He laughed and told me that it wasn't a bug. It was the case or shell of a bug.

So I looked closer and I realized that yes, he was right. This wasn't a bug. It wasn't moving. It was almost see through. It was just a shell. Then we took a stick and tried to touch it. It feel right off the tree. Oh, now I feel silly. Taking photos of "fake bugs".

If you wanna see the process that these bugs are going through then watch this video as it shows the process.
