The colours of Taipa

This is old Taipa, Macau. I always love walking through this neibourhood as the buildings are small and colourful. The streets are all cobblestone from the Portuguese influence. I often walk down this street on the weekends if I am going into school to do some work. It is slightly out of the way to walk this route so I never seem to go this way during the week when I am rush off to work in the mornings. I took this photo on a Saturday morning and as you can see it is quiet with on one around. I think that I what I love best about Taipa. I can escape all the people and sometimes I forget that I live in a city filled with half a million people.
