Day 2 in Sri Lanka!


We had a fun day full of adventures. We had a lovely breakfast here at our hotel and the we had a chance to chat on Skype with mom. We compared stories and weather forecasts. Next our driver arrived and he took us to he markets where we wondered around and looked at strange new foods and fruits. Our guide bought us some samples, so we tried magus-ten and jack fruit. Plus several new fruits that are only found in Sri Lanka. I already forgot the names. It was fun. Dad found all sorts of interesting people to take photos of. After the market we ended to the famous broken tooth temple. We explored this Buddhist temple and learned more about Buddhism.


Lunch was a little local cafe with some spicy curry. Dad has decided that he doesn't like curry. Too spicy. We decided to head to the Botanical gardens for the afternoon. We spent hours looking at trees, flowers and fruit bats! So many bats. They are huge!!
