We had an early start today with a wake up call at 5:30am. Then we had a speedy taxi driver who got us to the airport in half-an-hour instead of an hour. So we checked in for our flight and went to find some breakfast. The airport was busy and there were people on the move. We sat and sipped coffee and watched people.
We finally made it to our gate to board the plane after a stressful money exchange experience to get Sri Lankan Rupees. This was a painfully lesson in commission charges and poor exchange rates. Any ways, we will save that story for later. We were stopped at the ticket office to get new boarding passes. We wondered what was going on and we found out that we were upgraded to business class! Wow, our lucky day. This is awesome. So here we are on the plane enjoying the comforts of high-end luxury travel. I think it will be hard to go back to coach service after hanging out at the front of the plane. Dad likes the privacy curtain since, he always wondered what went on behind the curtain.
