30,000 feet Above Land

Saturday, 8 February 2014

Sitting at 30,000 feet above earth and heading back to Macau. My wonderful holiday in Thailand is over and it is time to go back to work. I marvel at the wonders of technology that allow me to type this blog post as I sit on the plane flying over mountains, jungles and oceans. Of course I can't update this post until I land in Macau and find a free wifi connection. I have a feeling that will quickly change and soon we will be able to have wifi as we fly. I am sure it is only a matter of time that technology will change and we will be able to be updating our Facebook status as we travel across the sky.

I wonder what the temperature will be in Macau. I have enjoyed the heat and hot sun of Thailand with temperatures of 30+ during the day and down to about 15+ at night. It makes it easy to sleep with the cooler temps at night. I wonder if Macau will feel cold after Thailand. I think the biggest difference is the humidity. It feels really dry here in Thailand and I think it will be damp and humid when I get to Macau.

I was just realizing that time is going quickly and it is already February. My birthday will be arriving in 2 weeks. I can't believe it. I am thinking that I will head off to Hong Kong for the day to celebrate my birthday although I will have a few days earlier so I can go on the weekend as my birthday is during my work week. No days off when you have to teach students. Oh well.
