Dreaming of the Beach

Thursday, 14 November 2013

It has turned to winter weather here in Macau and today it was 18C. Although I have to laugh because we don't have any snow and I am not really sure as a Canadian that I can say that 18C is cold. In the Rockies that is a warm summer day. However, here in Macau it is time to put the duvet quilt onto my bed and I have started wearing a jacket on my way to school. The mornings and evenings are cool and dark. I see people wearing puffy down jackets and boots. I guess winter has arrived. The cold arctic winds start to blow from Siberia and this changes the weather here in Macau.

I am dreaming of the warm beaches of Bali when I was there in October. It has almost been a month since my trip to see the Komodo Dragons. I am remembering the view from our boat as we headed to the islands. I am wishing that I was back there on the boat relaxing in the sun. Reading my book and going snorkelling. Awww, that was the life.
