The Arrival of Spring

There is a little creek that runs along the property and there is a rock slope where the Hoary Marmot makes there home. I think there are several colonies as there seem to be groups of marmots. I snapped this photo tonight after dinner. I went out for a walk along the water as I wanted to see if the spring run off had started. I found this guy! Soon the marmot babies will be born. I am excited to see the little babies. The will be born in May so a few more weeks. I guess it is official - spring is here.
