Langkawi, Malaysia

Monday, 7 October 2013

One advantage to teaching internationally is that on a long weekend you can jump on a plane and take off to a new country. Two weeks ago that is what I did on my long weekend. I flew off to Malaysia to the island of Langkawi for a mini beach holiday. I stayed at this amazing resort, surrounded by the jungle and beautiful beaches. It was a relaxing holiday with some time to just sit in the sun and read my book.

Time goes so fast that now it is hard to remember being at Langkawi and relaxing sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Ahhhhhh, if only I was back there now. I close my eyes. I wish. I open my eyes. Nope. I am still here. I am still looking at the huge pile of marking that I need to tackle. I guess Langkawi will remain a dream.

Here are a couple more dream shots: The shy dusky leaf monkey crossing a telephone wire high above the street. Then a shot from the top of Sky Ride gondola with a 360 view of the ocean and mountains.
