Home Sweet Home

Sunday, 25 August 2013

This is the entrance to my apartment. It looks sorta like a prison door! The second photo is my kitchen. Luckily my bedroom is about twice this size...

I thought I would share a few photos of my new apartment in Macau. I am starting to feel settled and I am slowly getting unpacked and organized. I went to Hong Kong on Saturday to go shopping and to visit the IKEA so I could buy some cheap furniture for my room. It was a good adventure and also rather scary to see that the IKEA in Hong Kong is the same as home. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Seems strange. I bought the same Not lamp that I have back home in Canada, that I bought at the Calgary IKEA.

As you can see my kitchen is not big. There is limited counter space and really only one person can be in the kitchen at a time. So it makes it awkward to make dinner sometimes. I am trying to train myself to get up early so I can have breakfast first and then get out of the way for my roommate. I am not really a morning person so we will see how this works.

The hallway to our apartment has these crazy doors. These are our apartment door. It is like a big cage. I guess they are really secure? I am not sure. I have never seen doors like this before so I don't know what the story is behind them.
