Butterfly Wings

Thursday, 25 July 2013

I found this butterfly hanging on to the railing on the porch. It’s wing was damaged and it couldn’t fly away. This gave me a wonderful opportunity to take some photos up close. The only challenge was that this butterfly could still run and he was constantly on the move trying to get away so it still proved challenging to get a good shoot. However this one turned out well. I am pleased that you can see it’s eyes and mouth so clearly. I don’t know what kind of butterfly this is. I suspect that my mother will be able to tell me when she sees this photo.

Time is going quickly and I will soon be leaving the Okanagan Valley to begin my journey back to China. I am now starting to pack and arrange everything to pack it into the car. Next week I will be traveling by car back to Saskatchewan to visit my family. Then in another week I will be on plane and headed to Asia. It is going to be strange to go back to Macau. I am curious to see how things have changed and what is different from when I was there in December.
