You Have A Ticket

Wednesday, 12 September 2012

I walked past this car the other day and I saw they had a “clamp” on their tire. I noticed a ticket tucked under the wiper blade as well. So I guess this car owner will have to pay the fine and call for assistance to get the clamp removed. That would be very frustrating and time consuming. I don’t think us North American’s would accept having a clamp put on our tire. I know some North Americans don’t even bother paying their parking tickets. “Why bother paying if you are out of province” is the excuse I have heard some people give. I just thought this wheel lock was a point of interest for my day. I will watch next time I go past this parking lot to see if this car is still there.

I am helping out the cross country team and I am enjoying running with the group. However, yesterday I had the most embarrassing moment. A kindergarten student joined the team and ran 5km with us. That was great! I was so proud of this student and thought wow, this student is so brave to join all these older kids. The embarrassing part is that this kindergarten student “out ran” me. He is faster than me. How embarrassing is that? I guess it tells me that I need to train me. Maybe I need to run more than twice a week. Hummmmm, something to think about.
