Time is going quickly. Only 5 more weeks. I can’t believe it. I feel like I have so much to do and I wonder how it is going to be possible to wrap everything up in just 5 weeks. This weekend I realized that winter is on the way as the temperatures dropped to 20C. It was cloudy and cool all weekend. It seems like the wind has changed direction and we now get cool winds from Mainland China. The warm tropical winds are gone. Today I saw people wearing puffy jackets and mitts. I thought it felt like a cool fall day.
I snapped this photo while walking along the ocean in Coloane. I like spending time on the weekend out at Coloane looking at the ocean. The pace of life seems a little slower out in Coloane and there are lots of trees. I think the air quality is better as well.
The excitement this weekend is the Macau Grand Prix. I didn’t go to see it as the tickets were over $100. I was able to watch the race on the jumbo tv screen that was set up in Old Taipa. Everyone was a buzz at school about the fact that a driver was killed on the race course on Friday. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/hkedition/2012-11/17/content_15937695.htm
It was a big deal because another driver had died on Thursday so everyone started wondering if the course was safe. The race course was made by blocking off streets in Macau. Last week when I went running with the x-country team we saw the workers setting up the barricades and blocking off various roadways. Most of the stands were already set up. It is interesting to think that just the regular roads are turned into a Grand Prix race course.
